Configure Outlook 2007 to start in an IMAP Inbox
If an IMAP account is added to Outlook 2007 the second account is placed under Personal Folders. There is no way to replace the Personal Folders with the new IMAP account but Outlook can be configured to start in the IMAP account Inbox instead of the Personal Folders Inbox. Here's how:
1. Click on the Tools menu
2. Choose Options
3. Click on the Other tab
4. Choose Advanced Options
5. Under General Settings next to the “Startup in this folder” box, click Browse
6. In the “Select Folder” dialog box select the IMAP Inbox folder
7. Click OK to close the Select Folder window
8. Click OK to close the Advanced Options window
9. Click OK to close the Options window
10. Restart Outlook
