It is also critical that your computer has been updated with Microsft Patch MS08-067. This patch will not remove the virus, but it will fix the Windows vulnerability that allows the virus to operate on you computer. Visit the Microsoft Update site:

http://update.microsoft.com

and make sure to click the "Restore Hidden Updates" link when you arrive, to insure your computer has not missed any critical updates, including update MS08-067, which was released October 15, 2008. See: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS08-067.mspx

As aaacomputer.com has noted before, it is imperative to your office and personal data security that no IM clients, music sharing software, peer-to-peer software and/or other third party or non business software is installed or operational on any of your office computers. Each of these software suites is vulnerable to attack and intrusion that can lead to the disruption, loss, destruction, and/or theft of business or personal data.
